"If you ever display any talent for engineering Lucinda, we'll have to make you an honorary Gnome. And teach you how to speak Gnomish."

"The mechanical arts are something I practiced in a prior incarnation, but now no longer."

Twillier takes a seat far away from the Dwarves were.

"Do you have menus here?"

"Of course good sir!"
Lucinda hands him a menu.

Lucind's Self walks in holding the drink and serves it to Twillier after it's prepared.

Jerik just quietly sits down somewhere near the inn, and just idly practices his magic. It seems to be more on the natural side of magic, being less of the arcane arts, and more of plants, and a bit of illusory animals.
After a while, Catherine finds him, and just sits next to him, watching him perform his magic. It goes on for some time. However, a while later on, it starts to somewhat become a bit more weird in form. Some of the already odd plants become a bit odder, and the colors on the illusory animals seem completely different.
"Hrm... That lasted quite a while more than I expected."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"When I use my magic, I call upon the very earth of my homeland. It is filled with energy- Mana - of differing kinds. However it is also saturated with the darker kinds, those representing death, chaos, and other sinister things. Eventually, this saturation spills in, and affects my magic, in various ways."

"That, good sir, would be the effects of some of the darker forms of mana. They aren't real animals, mind you. Just... An illusion."
He snaps his fingers, and the illusory creatures just burst into a flurry of little flecks of light, only these flecks are black, strangely enough.

"Why does the magic of so many people here have horrible drawbacks?"

"I do not know. But for people who hail from different lands, they do not have to deal with as much of this problem, if at all. My homeland though has been tainted by dark forces for centuries. The oldest stories of my people do not even extend that far back, but in that time, mages have always been exiled into the wastes, as a result. The dark energies there hold much promise for those who practice dark arts, such as Necromancy, and as such there are those who flock to there, and many of the mages who live out there turn to such arts."

"Since when was necromancy a dark art? Wait, since when was any magic a dark art?"

"Some magic is inherently chaotic or evil you know. At least where we come from."

"And the raising of the read is generally considered to be evil."

"How odd... the notion that magic can have morality... So, necromancy for you all is about raising the dead rather than just communicating with the departed?"
