She nods, looking away. She returns to tending the coffee machine.
Richard walks back.
"Oh, mate, that wasn't hung over. LAST NIGHT was hung over."

Jerik is just listening to this odd conversation, sitting nearby Alith, and possibly Daeron. Unless Daeron isn't nearby.
"Hrm... I'll keep watch over him, If you wish. "

[Empiricist]

"So what are you trying to say? That he's correct?"
"You don't look too drunk..."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

".....Oh look, an interesting rock formation. Come Gaston, let's have a look at that."
Before the Avriognier can protest, Richard drags him off.
"Hah, it'll take more than that to get an old Moonfoot drunk!"

[Empiricist]

Lucinda's Super-Ego appears. It does not roar. Because shrieking in the middle of a cafe is impolite. It merely stops Richard as gently as possible.
"It is rather to rude to avaunt during a conversation, 'tis it not?"
"So in other words, you're slightly drunk."
"Probably for the best."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Oh, yeah, um, about that uh-"
And suddenly his Super-Ego seems to be holding nothing. A red blur is in the distance, presumably Gaston.
Daeron just laughs and downs another bottle of grog.

[Empiricist]

Lucinda just shrugs and desummons his Super-Ego. "If he were to just simply have stated that he would rather keep veiled intents concealed, there would be no requirement for such a hasty exit..."
"I'll take that as a yes then."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I don't think Yukari would want to know the answer to that question."
Wikus shrugs.
"Yeah, stuff just got awkward."

[Empiricist]

"Perhaps, but such is life: a multitude of answers best left within the abyssal depths of obscurity."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Also, Richard probably doesn't want to have what just happened to Alith, only ten times worse. She's got a coffee machine now, and I don't think I want that hurled at me, if I was in his place."

[Empiricist]

"You suspect the fair lady would get that violent at a mere accusation?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Wikus just points to the hurled pillows.
"Embarassment? Well, not the coffee machine, but something harder than a pillow, at any rate."

[Empiricist]

"Now the matter becomes of how I should approach the issue."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Wikus heads over to replace the pillows.
"Don't ask me. I don't have a clue about romance."

[Empiricist]

"And my recollections of thus are rather vague."
