Alith smirks knowingly at Yukari and walks out. Gaston sighs.
"Somebody get zat man a lie detector."

[Empiricist]

"So, what's left to do? Marketing campaigns?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I-I suppose, Montanari-kun."

[Empiricist]

"I am sorry you had to go through that, now, should we design fliers? Or just start inviting people?"

As she walks out, she gives Lucinda a guilty look before leaving. Wikus walks in.
"Uh. What did I miss?"

"Mister Alith accused Miss Kikiuchi of having feelings for me."

"Oh. Does she?"

[Empiricist]

"*shrugs* That I have no right to assume. I have been paraded as a messiah and executed as a pariah. Sowed the sterile seeds of death and saved the lives of a myriad. I have negotiated as a necromancer and threatened as a common thief. Started internecine wars and ushered in the doves of peace. Lived lives of unadulterated excitement and spent existences watching the drying of paint. I have loved countless people and hated countless people, sometimes the same. A single lifetime is but an infinitesimally miniscule thread within the monolithic tapestry of my history, yet still, the affairs of the heart are hard to divine, thus, I shall let not my mind be clouded by the tempestuous caprice of assumption, nor the obstreperous vicissitudes of the hypothetical but rather let the fair lady say what she will and trust that it is the truth. Perhaps it is blindly so, but nevertheless, if she loves me true, I have no bindings to inhibit reciprocation, if she loves me not, then it is of no consequence or loss."

Alith'll be right if she starts calling you by your first name without honorifics."
