Silica rests for now. She recalls a thought that was at the back of her mind. "Would anyone here happen to know where I could get some degree-less colored contact lenses?"

Daeron just looks confusedly at her.

[Empiricist]

"Do you know what a contact lens is? Or are you a bit confused about the specifications?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"What in the name of Cernodin is a contact lens?"

[Empiricist]

"They're lenses you put onto the surface of your eyes. Usually to correct vision problems. Or as a cosmetic."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"...wouldn't that sting terribly?"

[Empiricist]

"They can a bit, but people are willing to wear them to avoid having to wear glasses. Or in my case, hide the energy flares in my eyes."
Indeed, Silica's eyes are like spheres of glass with directionless blue flames burning in them.

Daeron shrugs.
"I barely noticed."

[Empiricist]

"It's only minor, but it still makes me feel a bit less human when people do notice."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I feel somewhat non-human myself."
Daeron says this drily.

[Empiricist]

"*chuckle* I guess I'm a bit too burdened by my own ideals, I guess, it's just because it helps indicate that I'm a spirit and I'd rather still be thought of as alive. I know it's van and petty."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"You're talking about vain and petty to a Kobold ex-thief, Silica. I think you're a bit less so."

"Maybe,  guess everyone needs a hobby even if they dislike it. So how long have you been here for anyway?"
"By transferring my soul into a similar construct while I was still alive."
