Selina is deep in the woods, not sure why she thought Maria would be there. She wanted to make Maria happy and go on their date, since Maria wanted some alone time with her.

Still chuckling, the now man with the face of a coyote hops off the kobold's head and peers at it. He waves his hand in front of it's face, drenching it with water from nowhere.

There's a dark shape approaching. It's around 9 feet tall and is the source of the thumping.
