"Did the mention they can drive people insane? Even very powerful beings that are tasked with maintaining the world?"

"Where I come from, that's pretty much standard for gods. That, genocide, omnicide and more. Besides, if their blood is so dangerous, would not the obvious thing to do be not making them bleed?"

"Alright, I suppose we're done here, for now. What now, though?"
"I don't know."

"You getting anything, Izzy? Or are we just going back to Plan A?"

"Then I wish to never go there."
"Indeed. I'm finding the change quite refreshing. Although I should note that I could drive you insane quite easily if I put my mind to it, so I suppose that makes me count as evil in your eyes?"

"Just as a two dimensional creature would have difficulty truly comprehending three or even four dimensions, mortals often have trouble comprehending the divine, much less interacting with it without being blown away. Not that I've got a ton of personal experience. That's mostly dark elf philosophy."

The Gnome shrugs.

"How often do you drive people insane? Do they ever deserve it?

Of course the Old Gods do have a very old grudge. They blame us for what our creators did to them."

"In my experience, mortals are rarely blown away by interacting with gods. Now, when gods interact with mortals, well..."

"How often do these Old Gods drive people insane? So far you've just said their blood will do it, which strikes me as a very sensible defense for those that have blood, and they can too, which is something I share. And in my case, the situation is somewhat different- it is not what my "creators" did to gods, but what gods did to them."

"Even their blood will do it yes. They have a whole cult of insane fanatics who follow them. They want to us harm. Let us go back in time. Azeroth was a chaotic place inhabited mostly by elemental spirits and the old gods themselves. The Titans are worldbuilders who represent order. They imprisoned both the elementals and the old gods. Then they shaped the world to suit their ideals.  The old gods want nothing less than our destruction."

"So your creators locked them away and destroyed their home, and they want to bring it back. Hardly what I would call evil. Inimical to your kind, perhaps, but evil?"

"That's a debate for the philosophers. Not that I like the Titans either. They left a guardian here who almost destroyed the world because the Old Gods were growing in power. We convinced it that it was unnecessary."

The horse behind Izzy and Lucas speaks.
"Listen here you idiots! Pollux is probably at the academy. You know, the one you came from?"

"Uh... Hey there? What exactly are you doing, up on top of me?"
Catherine looks at Pollux, interested in how small he seems to be, and whatnot.
"Huh. That looks kind of silly, when you take a look at it."

"You actually can! Hurray! We actually have a reasonable idea as to where he is!"
