"I'm quite tired....good thing you're here~"
With that, Yukari uses Lucinda as a cushion to rest her head.

[Empiricist]

"Tired already? How irresponsible~ Your concert will be happening soon."
Lucinda keeps Yukari's head angled at a comfortable position. "Still, seeing as we have nothing else to talk about, do you mind much that we come from different worlds and backgrounds?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"No. Not at all."

[Empiricist]

"Nor do I, but then again, I have less to be concerned about seeing as you haven't killed people but I have."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"You're also an interesting, handsome, kind person who saved me. I may not like that you killed people.....but I do like- no, love you, Lucinda..."

[Empiricist]

"I don't recall doing much saving, unless it's from boredom~ Still, if you dislike it, I'll try keeping it toned down, I am a professional after all and right now, I'm a waiter more than anything else... Do you ever miss your world? The people there? The lifestyle and landscape?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I do....I suppose...."

[Empiricist]

"Ah, so I guess I'm not the only one. What do you miss the most?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"...my friends..."

[Empiricist]

He wearily nods, rapidly adopting a more solemn expression. "Understandable... understandable... there's little any of us can do in that regard, to form new ones is natural, yet will not substitute the place of those you can no longer reach... I wonder... do the people of our worlds still remember us? Searching frantically but finding nothing... our existences vanishing with the missing persons posters that document them... Or do they forget, heed us no longer and move on as if we never were?" He sighs softly, "Would the former be crueler or kinder? Or am I just comparing the flavors of my cyanide pill?" He pauses briefly, gazing around the room. "If I were to say, it is not the world, nor the people, nor the places that I yearn for the most... but rather the safety. If we were both of my world, I would need not worry as much as my heart does now, yet you do not, therefore were I to make a mistake, waiting a millenia would not do nothing to help, as, in those years, though you may forget or forgive my actions, you will be beyond my grasp by then... to have only one life, one chance at happiness, tis truly a strange notion indeed... "

".....I understand." Yukari nods. "It's easy, isn't it? You screw up, you just wait until the next life to fix it. Relationships would last forever, you'd have more than one chance at bliss.

It isn't like that where I come from......so, we do what we can to make the best of our one chance."

[Empiricist]

"Forever?" Lucinda cackles for a few moments. "No, not forever. A few lifetimes maybe, but never forever. Even the most lovestruck couples get sick and tired of one another after that long... when we reincarnate the first few times yet never meet our lover, it may be heart-wrenching at times... knowing that the one we love is elsewhere, or not even alive once more yet... but as the end nears, it becomes soothing, not having to put up with them, not having to care..." Another pause, this one longer as a reverie briefly overcomes him. "So that's it then? One shot? Truly a frightening prospect... but an exciting one nevertheless... when I was reborn this time, I yearned for excitement, for risk and reward to balance upon each other, intertwining in the periods of danger... that's why I am who I am now, why I got involved with the underworld... heh, who ever thought this would be the kind of thrill I'd be having. One chance? I'll accept it, after all, I haven't failed yet so far, now have I?~"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"S-such an idiot...." Yukari kisses him.

[Empiricist]

"In that case... If I am such an idiot that I do screw up, I will pursue a way to contact you and rectify that, whether it take me years or centuries, generations or lifetimes, until I can make amends and then probably love each other until we get sick of one another, bicker constantly, separate and be glad that the relationship is over. But that other stuff is too far ahead anyway~"
Lucinda leans in and returns the kiss fully.
