My buddy, who shares my avid love of both minecraft and dwarf fortress, has a server and would like to have a few more players around. The server doesn't have very many players, and is fairly new, so there's plenty of open space to build, and the guys there will probably be more than happy to help you get started.

All in all dwarf fortressers seem to be... well, not dumb assholes or twelve year olds. The game sort of precludes both of those, barring certain exceptions, by its very nature. So I figured they bay12 forums would be a good place to scare up a few players.

The guys that all play there are pretty good pals, and real laid back. It's a chill kinda server. Freebuild survival, easy difficulty. Mostly vanilla, with a few plugins. Ask the admin about them, he's on all the time. Tell him Kat sent you.

If you want to avoid random jerks getting on your server, you might tell people to PM you for the IP, because people do comb the internet for minecraft servers for.... some reason.
