Okay, now I could play a medic
or an empath. I guess I'd better go medic, though.
Also important to note, native language isn't determined by species, it's determined by the region you grew up in.
A character always begins play knowing
the vernacular language of their home region or planet.
I'll go with the languages you've picked though.
Name: Enton Sanatore
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Class: Medic
Major Ambition: Restore interstellar trade network.
Morality: Adherence 1, Consensus 4, Efficiency 2.
Languages: Human, Tassari, Oreamnos
Age: 46 (Mature)
Bio: My original idea fitted the empath more, but I'll see how it fits here.
Raised in a Tassari city before the Collapse, Enton always saw a variety of faces and travelled to many different places as he grew up. He always admired the interstellar society he lived in, but took for granted that so many different species lived harmoniously together.
When the Great War came, it shook Enton to his core. He was travelling back home at the time, and the ship he was in was boarded as it approached his home-world. Figures in masked uniforms pointed guns at the crew and searched the ship. Enton was held in a processing camp on the surface for eight days, while the soldiers questioned him about his loyalties, the contents of the ship, and other questions he couldn't answer plainly. It became clear that his planet had been annexed, but who by was unknown. Then the Tessari retaliation came. Great flashes in the sky signalled a battle for control of the space around the planet, but it only lasted a few hours. Soon, more figures, still masked and in a different uniform, presumably Tessari, freed him from the camp, only to hold him for further questioning. This only lasted a few more days before another counter-attack came, during which Enton slipped out into the outside world, only to see clearly for the first time the devastation that had been made of his home-world.
Since then, Enton ha seen that conflict only brings pain, and has done his best to end conflicts before they begin wherever he could. He distrusts authority, recalling his experiences in the war; that they work only to further their own power, rather than for the good of the people. He tells stories of the times before the Collapse, and remembers the grand scale of society wistfully. Like many, Enton wishes the Great War had never happened; like few others, he actually plans to undo it's effects. But first, he needs allies, and he needs a plan. He boards a ship bound for Prillium, hoping to speak to others there, and form an alliance.
edit:
One question: Have I ever heard of Hydaria Station? If so, I have a Minor Ambition: Find Hydaria Station.
Otherwise it's: Find information about CTF fuel production.
edit2:
Additionally, I would like to walk into the caffeteria just as the fight is ending, and have the two minor ambitions mentioned: Find out who owned the slothen, and find out what's happening onboard.
edit3:
I want to know the effects of two pieces of equipment that the rulebook fails to describe: Adrenaline Stick and Medical Pack.
I would assume that the adrenaline stick is some kind of healing potion, seeing as HP is essentially fatigue in this system. If so, how much does it heal? Damage looks like it's dealt out faster than in DnD for ranged weapons, about twice as much, so assuming it's at least a Light Healing Potion (1d8+1) shouldn't be too much, right?
