Between speaking with the Emperor, Gregory looks around the town to see what men are in the town he could hire.

A mid-day sun shone over a growing city. It's people had already been up for hours; performing the daily tasks of their occupations while the children did whatever children do these days. And in this city lies the genius polymath Alexis Rhodes, though she isn't staying at a sizable manor or upscale penthouse like one would expect. No, in the middle of the day Alexis awakes in the middle of the slums actually. She sits up, pressing one hand to her forehead as she slowly opens her eyes.

The first thing she notices is the amount of damage and defilement done to her previously tasteful dress, torn asunder by whatever happened last night, of which she has no recollection. Whether she stumbled here herself or was deposited she did not know, though fortunately it seemed that besides getting a bit dirty, nothing terrible had happened to her. She stood up, dusting off her clothing to the best of her ability. A quick glance around offered her the view of mounds of refuse, stone-cold drunks and fleeing vermin.

Shakily, she began walking away from her spot of awakening, looking around to try and recollect any past events while her hand felt around herself to see if she had any coins left from her last spree of materialism.

Alexis tries to figure out what city she is in, while simultaneously seeing how much money she has left.

The prince spoke plainly and straightforward to the dwarven commander. He knew that this one was not in charge of economy or diplomatic affairs, but it was important for him to understand it so that he would carry the message to his kin in the west.

"My offer to the dwarven lands is simple. Let there be a regular trade established, which shall be conducted by a human merchant from Trinicria. To maintain profitability of the route but at the same time secure the benefits of the trade for both parties, I am willing to agree on a 25% tariff to be taken off by the dwarven side once the caravan begins to make its rounds. In exchange, the path must be kept secure and in time, solid road will be constructed by Trinicrian side in return."

"I have no qualms with the two of you sharing information, so long as you do not share it with anyone else. As for working together... Some matters are best done alone, friends, even when partners form a team as apt as yours. I will elaborate on the subject once I feel it is time. Was there anything else you wished to discuss?"
The twins shrug.
"As Your Grace says."
"That was everything we had in mind for the moment. By your leave...?"

Alexis

[1] The Gutter looks like that of any other city oyu have woken up in. You think you may have  been here sometime...or not. And a quick check of your ,stained with several different alcoholic beverages, clothes validates your greatest fear, you are out of money. Even worse you smell like a Brewery and look like a leperous hobo. Add to that viscious headaches and the constant urging of your stomach to regurgiate its contents and you have the perfect cocktail for a good start into the day.

Gregory

[2] Interest in joining your company is ,politely expressed, lacklustre. Nobody seems interested to join a completely unkown company with no Experience to show of.

Trinicria

The Dwarven Captain seems to be amused.

" Hah, you amuse me Human. We are not interested in your inferior General Goods. Everything you make we can produce with ten times the quality. We have no use for such trivial things. We are interested in your Luxury Goods and Natural Resources. Naturally all such Trade will be handled by the Blackwater Trading Company."

You dimly recall that that was the State-Owned Trading Company of the Dwarves. It controls all Trade with the West Peak Confederacy.

Prince seems satisfied by that arrangement, although somewhat begrudgingly accepts.

Triniciria agrees to a dwarven deal.

((Sorry for the delay, something came up))

With Agnad...

"Cities with which we share no resources will be more valuable, and I believe I will give you a prime if you manage to arrange for iron trade with a foreign country. Apart from that, there's not much help I can tell you. You are the merchant, after all - if I had the experience or knowledge to go through these processes myself, I would not have hired a middle man."

With Tsujochi...

The Duke's face remained neutral, hiding whatever he thought of that suggestion.

"I will evaluate the need for more troops as further reports of tribal presence arise. Until then, we shall see. If we are done for the day, I will return to the city, Tsujochi."

With the twins...

Alecto smiled walked to the door, opening it for his guests.

"I believe there is nothing else to discuss. Have a good day."

Kol'Thelos finances two caravans for Agnad Nallbrine's company, as well as the foundation of trade posts in Trinicria and Heltania. Trading tax is set at 25%.
The Varanasi twins are granted three parcels temporarily, of which they receive the responsibility and the taxes. They are also appointed as ambassadors to Windborn tribe.
The Windborn tribe is now allowed to use five more parcels for grazing.

"Alright then. See you later."

Agnad turns and walks out of the room, breaking into a jog as he loses his escort somewhere else in the castle/mansion/whatever. He goes looking around.

((Shooty, anything interesting in your house?))

Alexis hobbles out of the gutter, looking for some place where she might be able to cleanse herself, while avoiding the urge to retch.

Meeting with Gregory

Samus waited until all of the council members had left the throne room to the antechamber before turning to speak with Gregory,

"I have a job for you and your men, a job that must be undertaken in complete secrecy so that none but me, your men, yourself, and my closest advisers know of it. As I have declared that from this day forward I shall unite the old lands of the Empire, I must know them well before I can do that, and this is where you come in.

I want you to take your men, and under the guise of patrolling the borders I want you to set out and scout into the Duchy of Kerns to the west, I want to know every detail of the lands to the west of my border within ten leagues. If you succeed you'll receive a bonus of double your current pay, if you fail I will say you had gone rogue, stole treasures and food from my palace and fled from my vengeful grasp.

Do you accept these terms?"

-----

Meeting with Tsujochi

As the Windborn rode away into the distance Samus turned to the Captain of the Guard saying,

"Send word throughout the Empire, any Windborn or other horse tribesman who is found spending a night in Heltanian lands without an Imperial Pardon to do so shall be arrested immediately and brought before before me in trial."

Set an Imperial Decree that any tribesman found staying on Heltanian lands for longer than a day is to be arrested and brought to trial in the Imperial Palace.

----

Season Actions
Upgrade 2 parcels of land to farmlands
Upgrade 1 parcel to a town
Split the city guard into ten companies for the season. 1 Company is to patrol the trade route to the Sultunate, 4 are to patrol the lands of the Empire, and 5 are to stay in Talrius and keep the peace/aid the people of the city.
Send out word that the Heltanian Empire is looking for worthy merchants and mercenaries of both land and sea.

With Agnad...

Just as the merchant was about to leave the room, the Duke turned back towards him and handed him a map of the Coast which had been lying on the table.

"I almost forgot the map, M. Nallbrine - I figured you ought to have one from my own library. I've annotated a few things about trading options on it - an amateur's work, really, I'm certain you won't find it very impressive - and your asking about any preferences of mine reminded me... A bit late, I must admit. Have a good day."

Spoiler: Annotations (click to show/hide)

With that, Alecto turned back towards his own papers, and a knight showed up to escort the merchant out of the palace. The pace was too fast to see much of the inside.

((I had no plot hooks in the city prepared, so I figured I could give you at least a few things to do if you were lacking in inspiration))

Other actions:

Develop two parcels outside of Kol'Thelos into Farmlands.

Gregory frowns,"That is a harsh punishment, but aye, I will take the job, should I begin by patrolling along our other borders first sir? To make it look less suspicious?

"It is up to you, whatever you believe will help you complete your job in secrecy, I ask you depart as soon as your men can make ready. May the Gods watch over you for the Empire's sake."
