NH is more reliable. Alchemist has to A: have spots on the map to gather from and B: get lucky with rolls for materials.

Buuuut can do it for free, plus from base, plus get extra stuff on promo whereas that's all nomad healers get. So sure they get horse, but Alchemist gets pathfinder, and Cursed Weapon or more powerful healing items. Plus, NH can only make vulns, concs, or elixers. Alchemists get a whole mess of stuff they can make.

My point is that they have different capabilities and are equally viable. Just depend on whether you want axes or bows, and canto is nothing to sneeze at.

I'm not fond of the Alchemist either. Thank the various gods that it's not in the handbook and thus I can refuse to allow it should I ever run an FEF :V

But only because I don't actually have a counter argument for that. My only excuse is I found it more interesting to give him a new outfit and haircut to match his new class than it was to fix the shading issue ffs pointed out (his hair didn't cast a shadow on his clothes).
