Miguel will be braving the tournament.as soon as I get the money. For justice! I need that level to even the gap between you guys and Miguel. He has to pick up a few levels before I can call him equal to the rest of the group.

I do have to ask though, is the opponent matched equal to Miguel's level or above it? With the risk of Auto-Death a possibility, it would be nice to know the overall nature of his opponent.

First opponent is at a disadvantage. Second is equal. Third is at an advantage. I don't know if that means level or weapon triangle...

I think we should pool our money and buy at least that Dancer's Crest. +1 Speed never hurt anyone, and 800 gold is not that much money for that.

Indeed. I only plan on going one round if possible. Miguel may be bold, but he's not so clinically insane yet that he would try to take on someone with an axe. While it is more of ideal match than Axes vs. Swords, I do NOT want to lose a character to tactical insanity. When player life is on the line I need to know details.

Another point of uncertainty though. I trust Miguel will be given initiative for each of the rounds, right? Having the first blow on each exchange would be more in accord with the GBA Emblems, as it lessens the chance of player death.

Not sure on the Dancer's Crest though. I suppose Miguel could use speed assuming he lives long enough to put a solid bit gold in the investment.

Either Julius (Who has really shit speed for a thief trainee deriative) or Miguel. And since the latter is going into the arena, two fights could let him afford it himself.

EDIT: Sara could really use that robe though, given that she's only a HP for two tougher than our rear-line units so...

Surviving two fights in the arena is a dicey matter with a capital D. I might be insane enough to try it but don't hold your breath. Cavaliers, Knights and Wyvern Riders scare me more than Mercenaries and Fencers. Myrmidons still scare me shitless anyways though. They can have crit rates... *shivers*

EDIT: And doubling possibility. That also scares me.

The Robe would cost us almost all the group's money. The crest costs a third of that. I'm more interested in the latter than the former by a huge degree.

And birdy, I would agree that going into the arena twice is a poor idea.

Hell naw. We're saving that gold for a sweet, sweet Brave or Killer weapon later on.

I would say yes *IF* the Crest was tradeable, but it's not. It's a one time boost equivalent to half of a really shitty level.
