You don't "need" to take Nullify. Just go with Discipline and stay the hell away from anti-armor weapons :/

I'm curious as to the reasoning behind the change myself, what prompted it and why?

Edit: He may want to avoid having weapons be double effective against him. I'm guessing he decided on Great Knight from the sounds of it, which has its own set of effectivity weapons with some being effective against both. Dat x6 weapon MT.

Still not required, at least not as much as it is for a wyvern rider, but I can see it as fairly critical. Specially if he wants to hold a choke point and has little option over who he fights. Hold the Line should help though, I think.

@Xanmyral: Are you talking to me or Haspen and about what exactly?

@Sirus: But, I'm going into Great Knight. I'll be weak to both anti armor and anti cavalry. That's the problem, really. And I'm not certain how much aid Discipline will be, particularly since I won't have the 5 trainee levels to help. I iz bad at decision making.

* Haspen adds Nullify to (F/N)EF3 nerf list.
How would you nerf that? ???

Probably make it so Effective weapons double instead of triple. Or simply get rid of it entirely. >.<

I forget, is nullify free or cost? If it's free, you could change it to cost, but if it's cost already, I don't think it needs to be nerfed.

I believe it's Free right now, so making it Cost would be the best nerf. Like it needs it. Way I see it it just cuts out some extra work for the GM trying to remember if a weapon is effective or not. :P

Changing it to cost wouldn't be so damaging. You'd still see very few wyvern riders though.

No, you have to specify a weakness that Nullify is going to protect you from.

No more super immune wyvern riders.

As in: 'effective against fliers' or as in 'bows'?

Bows are effective against fliers. There's no difference.

I meant, as in, if you're a wyvern rider, do you have to choose between 'effective against Wyverns', 'effective against Monsters', and 'effective against Fliers', or do you have to choose between 'bows', 'wind magic', 'thunder magic', etc..

Oh.

Quote from: Sacred Handbooke Spoketh So:
Negates the enemy weapon's effective bonus (ie: Bows won't deal more damage to you as a Flying Unit, Hammer won't deal more damage to you with Armoured, etc)

So when picking Nullify you will have to specify 'effective vs X' category it protects you from.
