Yeah. :P I used to be into it, like eight years ago... whenever it was that it had a pretty fun fighting game on the Gamecube, anyway. I dropped out when Sasori turned out to be yet another in a line of emo bishies.

I liked Naruto.

For like, first 20 episodes. Then it got boring.

Then again, I don't really watch animes longer than 13-26 episodes...Except Legend of Galactic Heroes, I can watch that alllll the time <3

My bro got a fun Naruto fighting game for the XBollocks, so they're apparently still making games. Never could get into the anime. It was too... how do you say... cliche? Yes. Shonen cliche.

Amusing correlation, though.

Aaactually, I got in an argument with my dad, so I'm not supposed to be on the computer for overlong today. I've kinda already spent my alloted time and should only be reading and i actually shouldn't be checking the forums right now aaaaaaaa

@Other Characters Relating To Your Own:

I've recently drawn parallels between Fezz and the gnome companion you get in NWN2. Except Fezz is more awkward and hasn't (yet) put someone to sleep because of it. It amuses me, although I'm not sure that's a good thing.

@FFS: Oh, I have A LOT of problems with Naruto. All of the interesting characters that could lead to cool situations (my favorite fight of the series is probably Shino vs Kankuro, followed by Rock Lee vs Gaara, Rock Lee vs Kimimaro, Kisame vs Guy, and finally Zabuza vs Kakashi. I think it's fairly obvious what kind of character I like >.>) got thrown out in favor of 'muh DBZ transformations', yet more Sharingan bullshit powers, Uchiha clan basically being booked the same as the nWo, Naruto going from an outcast orphan to being the son of the greatest leader in the history of the planet who can pull an Obi-Wan and speak to him after he died like fifteen years ago (which makes little sense to me; even if Naruto's got the Ninetails in him, why the fuck does everyone in Leaf hate him so much? He's Yondaime's son. Wouldn't they be aware of this? And why is his name Uzumaki when his parents were Namikaze? It's dumb as hell) and every advantage in the world it's possible to get, stupid power designs (like that whole 'if you make one million shadow clones and they all run a mile, then when you reabsorb them it's like you ran a million miles!' and while that may not be the actual thing he does the bullshit about clone training being real training is actually true in the series), every villain basically being the same one, characters repeatedly dying and being brought back to life (I think Neji has gotten killed like four times now), Leaf Village being destroyed at least once every ten chapters, so on and so forth.

I think it had a good start, but it quickly became genre trash.

I followed the anime for a while (read: looked up the episodes online years after the fact). Maybe I just quit before it became total garbage, but I do remember staring in actual horror at the one guy who pulled his own spine out to use as a weapon. Or when another character pulled his own heart out. On-screen.

@Sirus: Yeah, that's Kimimaro. He was pretty cool, for a one-off character. I dunno about the heart dude. Might have been Kakuzu. I've only read up on it now and then. It's sort of like WWE in that regard; I stopped watching years ago, but every now and then I'll get... nostalgia, I guess, and look up what's currently going on before deciding not to go back to it. :P

@BMM42: I really can't recommend watching it. I can only say that given your predilection for badass weaponry, you might like Zabuza and Kisame. They're pretty good characters (Zabuza is more interesting, I think, but you can't help but love Kisame. The dude is, to quote Harry Plinkett, 'evil and he loves it.' He's like the only villain who doesn't have a tragic backstory; he just wants to fight strong people and fuck them up, and in a series as full of angst as Naruto that's pretty damn admirable) and they have cool swords. Just do a search on Samehada (that would be Kisame's weapon). I don't know if Zabuza's sword ever had a name - canon or fanon - or not.
