There may be a chance of me joining you guys, so I figured I would at least post a rough concept for you guys! I shall reveal the character that has been stuffed into my brain!

I wish for you to imagine man for a moment. An old man, bony, hollow faced. But with eyes that burn with inner vision of a destiny that he has only just now realized at the balmy age of 72.

I give you, Cervantes.

As you may guess, this character if based off the Spanish Novel, Don Quixote, who is also the name of the main character. If you don't know, his story a bit like this:

Don Quixote is old and reads far too much for his own good in his delicate old age. One day, he gets the idea in his head that he is a knight. And so, along with his "squire" Sancho Panza, he goes on many misadventures through the countryside of Spain until his hopes and dreams are crushed. It's all rather sad actually...

Now, depending on what Attribute I end up having rolled for me, it may change that story slightly. If I roll something along the line of the Fire or Light attribute, Cervantes will end up being a lot like the character he was based upon. If something Ice or Dark gets rolled, I'll likely retcon him into a cranky old knight who was forced back into service due to the plot.

I shall give it the best of my steely resolve to begin the number crunch. As it stands, I see myself hailing from the County of Garaz, but I need to acquaint myself with the plot proper before I lock that in. A merchantish state seems to be a nice place to come from.

I'll also need to figure out just what I am starting as. Which, I assume is a Cavalier. Beyond that, the math doesn't seem to difficult... I just need to work it out real fast.

Starts with Horseback, which grants +2 Movement spaces, plus 14 to aid.

I tried to keep my numbers and themes in line, while also making him distinctly different from say, Leymont or Tracey. Cervantes is a gallant knight, geared heavily towards DEF and Skill. What he lacks in SPD and MOV is made up for in raw manly courage. He is one meant to dive straight into the fight, never away from it. His old body may be scarred and broken, but his will is undaunted!

I'll try to prepare a proper biography at a later date.

Progression can only reach a max of seventy on any non-HP stat, and you never did mention what would cause him to lose a point of MOV (I assume by moving in full though).

Phooey. I could have sworn it was 80% as the cap. Oh well! I'll use it to up his resistance yet.

And yes, you have the right idea! Travelling full distance consistently tires him, causing him to lose a MOV point for the next round. It seems rather fitting for him.

Edit: Done making rearrangements to stats. I moved the DEF to his RES stat. It seemed fitting!
