IMHO Iron xbow is best, because the minus is bearable (9 AS at this stage is high anyways), and 16dmg means easy kills in 2 hits v:

Alright, Iron and poison seems like the best bets here, most leaning on iron. She'll take a 2 AS hit, but that puts her in line with the rest of the party.

FEF2: Can't swing a dead cat without hitting family.

I think that's because not only is it the opposite and therefore novel, you can do more character development with family members.

Plus, many of the FEF2 characters have differently-ambiguous family connections. FEF1, they were mostly implied or said to be dead, missing, etc. for the most prominent characters.
