The answer was because I hadn't anticipated Haspen axing the sniper's range increase, so I had to do crazy things to her build in order to make the sniper's skill at all useful.

Besides, her accuracy isn't like 50% or anything, it's 78% right now. She only sucks as of yet because she's a trainee.

And considering how many enemies seem to have evade rates in the mid-teens, that reduces her effective accuracy to around 60%, and much less if the enemy is in cover :/
And it's only going to get worse from here on out.

For half the game? Yeah. But then it'll be a constant 85 forever.

With her str as a sniper efa will have the one thing char lacked: ability to take out foes on her own without crits.

I think it was 40%, actually.

Looking at the map, I think Grifen oughta be able to take down Swordsman B without any trouble. It's not an autohit, but the odds are very good and she'll deal just enough damage to kill him. That can leave one of our better fighters free to do something else.

Still can't heal anybody since I can't reach anyone. Gonna need some people north of me to shuffle around for that. The only spot I can move to in one turn is the one Sheila's standing on. Maybe if Grifen was able to kill the swordsman, then I could move to his spot and heal Sheila. Then Candy could move to the spot I was occupying and dance me, and then I can head somewhere else and figure out who to heal next.

One more thing that should help Efa's uselessness get nullified a bit:
Efa has Resolve. Though her SKL goes down a bit when she's under 50% health, when she's under 30% health this should be nullified by the fact that both her SPD and her SKL will be boosted by 50%.
