Everyone seems to have problems with that. You can just load it into an image editor like GIMP and select the 'Color to Alpha' option and pick the white background. Bam, background gone.

Also, in other news, yes I am indeed going to change from Mage to Monk. So... [Mage Trainee -> Monk -> Holy Guard] Holy Guard's ability is what won me over all in all, especially the last portion. It plus wrath equals love.

But no necklace, the hair with a lock of white in it, don''t really like the clothing colour but dont know what I would change it to and a silver tiara with a moonstone inset (with the detail of the pictures that last bit may not really come out well)

Well Different clothing could work, but I dont want to be a robe wearing mage, a cloak perhaps, but not a robe', And i am not sure about the pigtails, maybe get rid of one of em and have a pony tail coming over the shoulder?, Maybe have her wear a type of clothing that swordsmasters tend to, as thats what her parents want her to be

It's not that hard, it's just a few pixels difference for the mouth and eyes.

Unless you're putting in like a hand, or a flute or something. In which case yeah that's pretty hard.

It doesn't involve manual drawing all the time.
What you do is select from the eye and face palette some places provide, and c/p them in.
I do sometimes manually edit though.

The hard part (for me, at least) is making sure the shading and stuff still looks proper. That and the default spritesheets sometimes aren't enough for certain expressions, thus my "laughing Grifen" face which took far too much time.
