I have some questions to ask people about where I am taking Maible.
1)  I am thinking of making Maible a wind mage because of her high magic growth, making a weapon with low weight more attractive than a high might weapon

2) Part of Maible's upbrining was to respect allies and treat longstanding comrades as family, so after this fight she is going to give a gift (that means something to her, so no buying just to give the gift) to each of the four characters that have been working with her for a while (sorry Taricus, but you are the one that made Sara join just now), it will probbaly be books, but books that Maible feels are appropriate to the receiver.

Leo: "The hipocracies of the Dragon Priests" (a technically illegal book, but Maible does not beleive in the suppression of information)
Sakura: Either "Bonsais and Bracyophytes, a travelling Botanist's Guide", or "An objective analysis of magic, are the distinctions just in our minds?"
Sheila: 'A history of seafairing and swashbuckling"
Efa: "Building self-confidence"

The only real comment I have to make is that the book to Leo is probably much more than just 'technically' illegal, I wouldn't be surprised if the cult are the kind of people who promote book burnings.

EDIT: On the note of the cult, what were you all thinking when it came to magic and Haspen giving away some spoilers about it long ago, and the reveal of how it was? With how Taricus was hinting at, I was figuring we were going straight up Warhammer/Dragon Age up in here with magic. Demon possessions left and right, magic run amok, horrors that are not meant to be seen by mortal eyes, magic heavily under lock and key--even out right persecution and heavy mistrust of the sanctioned users.

RE: Leo being 'better' than Gregor: There are two reasons. One is that Gregor is technically ALLOWED to go after any woman he wants while Leo is vowed not to, so theoretically it's funnier for him to end up in these situations. The other is that by the time the VN was a thing, Gregor was already deeply committed to Charlotte, while Leo hasn't really done much for shipping opportunities IC (although OOC is a different matter entirely) so his options are completely open.
