allows Fezz to fall back and take on the boss.

This is an option.

Fezz has two options if he attacks the boss- Starshot or Photon. Starshot is out as it precludes doubling.

Photon does 7 Damage, after inclusion of weapon triangle. Fezz takes 22 in return, more than 60% of the time. And Fezz doesn't even autohit.

To me, these numbers don't really look great- I think It'd be best for Fezz to stick with J team and break down doors and deal with surprise threats.

Also, if attacks go well this round, there's no reason why Fezz should be capable of being stabbed again.

Fezz survives a regular stab and the monk's attack goes fizzle on 'em. Long as he doesn't get critted, he'll be fine.

Meh... I won't argue. But I don't think anyone is well suited for fighting the boss really. Miguel may talk a good game, but he doesn't stand a chance in hell against him. But he does have a chest key, which is another reason I'm sort of leaning on having him help out with Chest Quest 2015.

Honestly we're more than a little out of our depth against this particular boss. We're just gonna have to pile up and do our best to beat him down.

Grifen only does 6 damage per hit with her SNC (91%). She doubles, but the Duke will one-shot her if he hits (62%, 47% if Grifen is carrying someone).

Yeesh. That's small damage for a big risk. Is suppose I should be glad least Miguel has an ok chance of dealing a nice 15 damage. Perhaps I should have Miguel pass on his key to say... Sonja and let him go try his hand at the Duke. It's more of his character anyways.

Actually, because it's a good question to ask, who do we want on treasure duty and who do we want to be fighting the boss?


Julius, given he's our resident thief should probably be going after chests. Sonja can only do 3 damage to the boss at most. Miguel is nearby, so he can trade his key to her and let her join the Treasure Quest. Grifen wouldn't be too bad of a choice after that, given that's she's mounted and can canto pew-pew almost anyone who gets in their way. If we can get Alec down that direction, he'd probably better suited to performing down in the hallways than in the throne room. It would be dangerous for him to try to perform next to the Duke, which is a foregone conclusion since he only has a performance range of 1 tile.

On the attack squad, since Efa is the queen of ranged combat, so she should be able to peck out a few good hits with that longbow of hers. Miguel does enough physical damage that putting him on the assault the duke team may be worth it even though he's just about guaranteed to be downed in one turn. Sheila is almost certainly going to have to be one of the attackers though. We've got pure water, so if she uses that on herself, she's going to able to go two rounds with him before she has to be healed. Which is more than anyone else can do. Finally, Fezz primed with a pure water probably is next best thing after Sheila. The Duke is doubled by Photon and is at a WTD against Fezz. The Duke can do at a most to him 12 damage, which means Fezz has 2 round before he absolutely needs to be healed as well.

Between Fezz and Sheila, I have a feeling that they could probably take out the boss on their own if Leo is giving them healing support. Mind you, this is all disregarding NPCs seeing as Matilda is probably going to lemming stab the duke this round and get knocked down for her efforts. But we love her for that anyways.

It's helpful to remember that Matilda has charisma, so as long as she's up, we get bonuses whilst engaging the Duke.

Shelia take a swig of the water
Fezz to 17-10 (doesn't vuln self because one hit won't kill him with the pure water going on but it will put him in wrath range, which could then lead to crits on his counters, which could lead to almost dead boss on the PP)
Miguel to 16-11, grab Leo
Alec to 16-10, perform Shelia Fezz Grif and Miguel
Miguel to 16-7
Shelia to 16-6, grab Leo and deposit him on 15-6
Fezz to 17-6, grab pure water from Shelia, use on self
Grif goes to 12-6
Efa to 16-9


Ok, I know we're not attacking, but that's because Fezz would basically waste two uses of his weapon to do a total of 2 damage to the boss. Now this way, Fezz is the only one in range if the boss wants to be not leaving himself wide open on the PP, which means the boss will attack Fezz, not be able to heal, and leave himself taking 14 damage or something like that. Thoughts?
