Okay, the gargoyles have 7 MOV. This means that the two groups of three in the center are free to attack anything except the mage and the sister. Worse, three of them have axes. So it's very likely we will lose several of them.
We could send Grifen, Candy, and Sara forward in an attempt to start harrying the gargoyles this turn- But obviously that will have consequences.
If Candy goes south his full MOV, that'd pretty much be a waste- It'd leave him in range of at least 4 gargoyles, assuming Grifen explodes one, which she definitely has the capability to do.
If we send Grifen and Sara ahead, we should have them end their first moves with 2 spaces of 12,12, allowing Candy to refresh them both so they can hit an enemy and fall back. Specifically, I'd recommend Grifen to 12,14, and Sara to 11,13.
Once their second move commences, Grifen can scoot down 3 spaces, shoot Gargoyle D, and then canto back to 12,11 if the Gargoyle is dead. If it isn't, she can set herself at 12,13 instead to cover Candy from Gargoyle D if it decides to hit us instead of the allies- But that opens up attacks from Gargoyles H and I. And Candy can take a hit from a gargoyle, so unless we really like the idea of Grifen going for a counter kill, I don't recommend 12,13.
Sara is another story. We might want her at 12,13 or even lower to draw some of the enemy to us, since Grifen stands a fair chance of blowing up two next turn with Candy's help. And keeping them off the allies as well, of course. Plus, sending her to attack this turn would be difficult, to say the least. If we have Candy move lower, we could, but that'd leave Sara alone next to piles of bad guys, or with Grifen next to piles of bad guys if Sirus doesn't want her in alone. I'd prefer her drawing enemies.
Everybody else should hustle south. Leo should go to 8,7 and Fezz to 9,6, so Alec can eke some extra mov outta them this turn. Actually, Leo can only get the same distance south either way, so it's really just Fezz who benefits there. Still, no reason not to, unless Leo was planning to head around the woods instead of through them. That might save him some time, but probably not much, and Sheila could use support once she gets into gargoyle range, which may not take long.
