(finally caught up with all that's been happening. Ali represents me well in one respect compared to the actual game: I'm a little embarrassed to say my friendly fire's rarely the lowest...)

Ali watches Clair move closer, and decides to stay still. However, she remained very quiet. Her mouth was tense as she looked distant before looking past the others to where they would be heading next. She winced as a tear fell from the pain, reminding herself it's nearly over... before a wave of paranoia washed over her and she checked again behind her.

Move to AG37
Move north until I see infected; if I get to where I only have 1 AP left, enter covering fire.
If they are common, riot, or hazmat infected, covering fire(crouch first if possible).
If they are special infected, and I have sufficient action points left, move to where I can shoot them from 2 squares away(to do the most damage, unless they're a boomer or a spitter, in which as far away as possible that I can still hit them from) and enter covering fire if I have any action points left afterward.
If there are multiple special infected, try and make it so I can hit them all with one shot. If I can't, hit enemies such as Boomers and spitters first, others second.
If there's a witch or a tank, shit my pants.
If I can't shoot the special infected with the action points I have left, move away from them, back towards the main group until I have 1 left, then enter covering fire.

That should cover most situations, save crazed survivors. Don't know how we'd deal with them in our current state.

The lack of infected was nearly too good to believe, but Damon confirmed with his own eyes that there were no more infected nearby.

“Musta been the, Agh… Boomer I think. Drew all the infected over here.” Ugly Jim said as he pulled himself up using Jeffrey as support. The silent military man showed no discomfort from having the larger Jim use him as a ladder. In fact, he stood stock still as though used to this sort of thing.

“Well let’s get going then…” Melody offered as she watched Mark limp next to her.

“Just give me a second to catch my breath kiddo.” Ugly Jim replied.
