A large cry pierces the air. Many [60-80] infected are on their way.
 

“You guys get them up. I’ll scout ahead.” Damon said as he limped away.

“You know… I thought he was just some… Jerk-off when I first met him.” Melody whispered to Ugly Jim “But he’s starting to grow on me.”

“He’s a good guy. He is a jerk, but he has a good heart.” Ugly Jim said as he stood up.

“Yeah, I can tell. Maybe I misjudged him.”

“Trust me, you should never trust first appearances. Do you think Jeffrey’s going to be alright?”

“I think… I think it’s a flashback or something. I don’t know… I don’t really know how they work.” Melody admitted as she saw Jeffrey throw an imaginary grenade past where Damon was walking.

“Still… Hope he comes back… Poor guy’s had enough trouble in his life I think.”

“Holy crap! FATA-“ Damon shouted suddenly drawing the entire, now standing, group’s attention. They all turned just in time to see Damon get covered from head to toe in vomit.

“That’s not good!” Ugly Jim said as he began preparing for a horde.

“UGH! MY MOUTH WAS OPEN YOU FAT FUCK!” Damon shouted as he attempted, in vain, to wipe the vomit from his eyes “THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME! WHY CAN’T I EVER KEEP MY FUCKING MOUTH SHUT WHEN YOU’RE FAT ASS IS AROUND! FUCK ME!”

Ugly Jim was then treated to the sight of a Charger hopping up from behind a car and punching Damon so hard that he quite nearly fell down again.

“That’s even worse…”

Jeffrey for his part was starting to come back to reality, unfortunately he would have been much safer if he hadn’t. He took aim but couldn’t risk the shot without hitting Lt. Rei-… Damon.

“OW! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!” Damon shouted as he shoved the Charger, to no effect.

“Why’s he shouting!?” Mark yelled out as he tried to stumble forward but the pain was becoming unbearable. “He’s going to attract every infected in the city.”

“The vomit already did that… I think he’s just trying to keep the Charger and Boomer on him instead of us.” Ali said in a scared tone as she looked at her rifle. One shot… She didn’t know if she could save Damon with only one shot.

“Still we have time. Maybe if we head to the safe-roo-“

A loud, ear splitting roar came from everywhere around them.

“That’s… Just delightful.” Melody muttered as she took aim.

Well… That sucks. Keep in mind that just because I don’t put the Survivor Perception Roll doesn’t mean something didn’t spawn. If you roll low enough [1-3 on a D20] you won’t even be informed. Sucks that the Boomer grabbed ya… Maybe I should add a “Dodge” to that at any range… Hm… Thoughts?
