Damon saw a small flaw in the plan. Just a minor one really. Nothing too spectacular. Just that he was too far away to escape the Tank AND the Explosion they were planning to set off. Little details really.

So he was faced with two options… Be mauled to death by the Tank or be melted into a puddle by the spitter acid. Such choices. Such wondrous choices. Then something occurred to him. It was a little risky but… He had to go for it. It was his only chance.

So Damon charged the tank.

The creature seems perplexed at first. Nothing had ever ran at it before. Surprisingly, this did not make the Tank angry. In fact it made it very very happy. Perhaps the small creature had realized the error of its ways and was going to give the Tank a bro-fist? It made sense. Tank was a cool bro, he would bro-fist back. Tank waited for the creature to jump at it and then-

*WHAM!*

The pain was nearly unbearable for Damon as he flew nearly twenty feet due to his height. Unfortunately he had misjudged the Tank’s strength and didn’t fly over the truck, giving him time to make a daring escape, as he had planned. Instead he slammed, hard, into the metal exterior of the holding container. Sliding to the ground he was barely able to get up in time. It would appear the Tank was rushing him for another attack. Not good.

What was good was that the Spitter’s Acid lost its color. In his limited experience that meant that the acid had lost all ability to eat through his flesh or clothes. It was now or never… He only hoped Jim’s plan worked.

“LOOK OUT BRUDDAHS! BIG BAD MAHN COMIN!” Damon shouted as he limped swiftly away from the disaster waiting to happen. Interestingly enough he appeared to adopt a terrible Jamaican accent during his limp. Obviously he had suffered some minor brain damage. Either that or he was making a joke… The group assumed the former.

“CHOKE ON IT YOU SON OF A BITCH!” Ugly Jim shouted as the Tank’s momentum carried it into the truck just long enough for the creature to attempt to push away from the truck. With a swift press of a button the C4 detonated. More importantly however was the reaction of the Truck.

The explosion was nothing like in the movies. It didn’t go off all at once. Several small explosions sounded off in quick succession as the group strained to hear any signal that the Tank was still alive. They heard none. In fact, they didn’t hear anything. The explosion appeared to have temporarily deafened them.

The group watched for several moments as the smoke swirled and the fires subsided.

“Is it over?” Damon asked himself, though he couldn’t hear it.

Which was a good thing as if the group hadn’t been deafened by the explosion the Tanks roars of anger would certainly have done the trick. Slowly pushing itself back onto its feet the Tank looked even less humanoid than it used to. Its skin, the portions that hadn’t been burned off, was covered in glass and metal shrapnel that reach straight through its large frame. What clothes the tank had been wearing was burned to ashes exposing its heart boxer shorts which had miraculously survived the explosion. Another thing that had survived the explosion, though this one much less enjoyable, was the Tank’s anger.

With a might shove the Tank propelled itself forward on wobbly legs. This happened quick enough that Ali was caught unprepared for the spiked hands that grabbed her.

“ALI!” Damon shouted as he rushed to help her but it was too late. With a mighty heave the Tank launched Ali into Ugly Jim which thankfully cushioned the impact.

“Come get some!” Melody shouted as she began unloading into the Tank.

The Tank’s will to fight was enormous. Yet even in the heat of the moment the group could tell it was beginning to weaken. If they could only hold out a little longer everything would be alright.

… Wow… Just wow, I thought I was only a week behind updating this thing… Yikes! Next time this much time goes by without a update could you guys please PM me to at least tell you guys why?

I realize that I’ve done worse before but still… During such a high tension moment… ANYWAYS! You guy’s plan went really well. Took out over a quarter of the Tank’s health in one giant explosion. Congratulations! All that damage counts as Ugly Jim’s. Now let’s see you do the rest of it!
