Groupings of common sounds easier to handle than each individual, and considering the whole danger of commons is that they swarm, it seems to make sense to me. I like it fine.

“Hey guys! Saferoom ahead!” Mark called out at the last infected fell.

[How can you tell?]

“Jeffrey says good, this place is like hell. But how do you know?” Clair translated much to the mute’s annoyance.

“Well there’s that orange sign people paint. Remember?”

“Oh yeah, so it’s through those doors!” Damon managed to trump up enough joy to begin limping forward.

*CRASH*

The set of double doors swung open. It only took a moment for the survivors to figure out why. A spitter and boomer were standing just being the, now open, doors.

Of the two the Spitter seemed to be the most recently turned. Her skin was not as corroded as the other spitters you had seen up until this point. In fact, aside for the slightly extended neck, she bore a remarkable similarity to a famous actress.

“Well she’s not ugly. I guess that comes with being a spitter…” Damon remarked before he was forcefully reminded why they should always shoot Spitters first.

With a weak sounding noise she lobbed her acidic payload at the survivors. The ball flew quite slowly towards the survivors as the Boomer scurried into the darkness of the hall as the survivors returned fire.
