“Come on Damon.” Ugly Jim said as the pair walked to keep up with Clair and Jeffrey who seemed to be discussing something along the lines of Vanilla Pudding.

“I’m trying man… It just really… Really fucking hurts.” Damon grunted in exertion as he paused briefly near a door. He considered opening it but… That’s what landed him in this position.

“Hey, no cursing okay?” Ugly Jim said. It sounded less like chastisement and more like an attempt to make everything seem normal.

“Is Mark still alive?”

“Yeah. Ali’s picking him up.”

“Lucky guy.” Damon commented almost absentmindedly as he pointed his flamethrower towards the end of the hallway.

“Oh and how’s that?” Ugly Jim smirked. He always had a bit of a soft-spot, softer than most of them anyways, for young love. It warmed his heart to see it blossoming even in the darkest of circumstances.

“Well when she was grabbed by that smoker earlier it tore her shirt a little bit so at the right ang- OW! What was that for!?” Damon asked rubbing the spot where Ugly Jim had popped him lightly on the head.

Ugly Jim just shook his head and walked away. That was one thing he had forgotten about young love. Young Men were idiots.

Name: Melody Wilson

Physical Appearance: Melody is a very ordinary looking person. She has long black hair and bright green eyes. She's wearing torn and dirty jeans, worn out boots and a leather jacket, turned grey by wear.

Personality: Melody is a very considerate person who devotes most of her energy to helping others. The apocalypse has taken a great toll on her, but she never lets it show, preferring to be strong for others, and is determined not to repeat the mistakes of her past.

Background: Melody's father walked out on her, her mother, and her little sister when she was just hitting her teens. Forced to grow up fast to protect the ones she loves, Melody is surprisingly mature for her 19 years. When the world officially went to hell, Melody was on her way home from pawning a few items she "found" to buy her little sister some clothes for the coming winter. Upon arriving at her house, she was faced with her mother and sister, who had become infected. Her baby sister, blood covering her innocent face, stood staring out the window. Her mother was crying, sitting on the floor. Melody tried to get her mother's attention, thinking she might be okay, but when her mother started screeching and trying to tear her to shreds, Melody ran for the shotgun in the hall. Melody leveled the shotgun into her mother's face and pulled the trigger. Tears in her eyes, Melody finished her sister off as well. She then took a few necessities from the house and fled, vowing to kill every infected bastard she sees for what they took from her.
