The fingerlings know hes not one of them due to both speech pattern, and the fact they saw him with bat wings. A couple don't care too much, but many look annoyed at the impersonator.

"We had a souvernir shop, but the shopkeeper made huge amounts of money from this weird girl, and has moved to a penthouse in central newyork. So we don't really have a souvenir shop anymore."

The fingerlings look at him like hes crazy and walk away. This village was two weeks old. What did he think was going on here? The reason for the location was also for few visits, though the mini-giants were both helpful and hard not to like.
