 "Of course they do. You have to believe they exist when you work with void magic such as I do. People trade their souls in exchange for magic powers. You believe they exist too."
 "Yeah, but my soul isn't really as confined as humans. It's like a cloud of energy that can change form so that beings of pure essence won't burn when they enter the material realm. I have a true form you know, but I never show it to anybody."
 "Why not?"
 "Several reasons. First off, my true form consists of pure essence and will likely burn someone's eyes out whenever they look at me. Secondly, it's pretty much a show-off of all of my power and I like to keep that contained. Thirdly, nobody deserves to see my true form. You've seen it before, you know it's insane."
