Bartimaeus is slashed in the back of the raven's small body.

 "AAAGH!" Bartimaeus yells out in pain as the raven falls to the ground, twitching as it's very material image flickers, small bits of it dissipating into liquid essence as the slash wound writhes and emanates a strange goo. The raven's image completely flickers away as the liquid essence congeals on the ground, with Bartimaeus dead.

 "Bartimaeus..? Bartimaeus!"
