Lunette finds herself in what appears to be some sort of chapel. There is nothing but a walkway in the middle, the floor made of faces screaming in lamentation and pain, flanked by statues of all nationalities and genders. At the end of the walkway, there is a large, mummified hand, holding the book on it like a table.

Lunette looks around at the chapel, strangely composed. She inspects the statues, and then walks over to the hand and examines the book it is holding.

The statues depict, in order, a roman centurion, a south east asian dancer, a frankish servant, a persian swordsman, a medician from the colonian times, an early 20th century archeologist, a fransican monk, a venetion architect, a WWI frontline journalist, a modern psychologist and an african american firefighter. There is also a yet uncarved block of marbe in line. The hand opens itself as Lunette approaches, presenting her the book.

Lunette carefully peeks at the book and tries to read it.

As Lunette reads the book, images of the lives of the previous owners flash through her mind. In a flash, she finds herself back in the castle, the book gone, but the knowledge in hear head. Useful knowledge for a ritualist, as it includes runes. These runes can be combined into spells by combining an alignmend rune (Claw, Veil, Sigil), with a target rune (item, area, creature, self) and an action rune (protect, summon, absorb, dispel, project). These spells can be further enhanced by adding (power) runes to the circle. Which effects occur depending on the combination...was sadly not explained in the book. Some experimentation is needed.

"Neat. Anyways, um, I'm Emelth, and I'm just looking for a place to live. Is there a dragon already living here?"

Lunette shakes herself as she finds herself back in the castle. She almost immediately she runs up to her room to change. Then she grabs  her satchel and heads outside.

After several minutes of walking, being well outside of the castle's grounds and magic defenses, she looks for a large, empty area to work in.

[MAG: 15 + 40] She starts to make a magic circle, but makes a mistake and quickly starts over.

[MAG: 78 + 40] Her second attempt is much more successful. It uses none of the runes she has just learned, and is supposed to help analyze and protect her from whatever is inside this circle.

Having made the outer circle, she carefully steps inside it, making sure not to disturb it. There she makes another, simplier circle, with the runes (Claw, Area, Summon).

Given the rate at which Lunette works at, it's probably been an hour or so since she left.

"There is indeed, though in recent events where dragons proceeded to run amok all over the world, you will excuse me if I am vary of new draconic arrivals."

Lunette feels...stronger. Nearby, she sees a bird accidentaly snapping the twig it was sitting on.

Lunette carefully erases the inner circle and makes a circle for (Veil, Area, Summon) next.

Lunette feels her strength drain. Instead she feels...hmm...how to describe it. If there is any feeling to magic flowing through your veins, that feeling intensified.

"You wouldn't happen to know anything about the sudden rise in worldwide draconic activities?"

Lunette feels her strength drain. Instead she feels...hmm...how to describe it. If there is any feeling to magic flowing through your veins, that feeling intensified.

Lunette discovered "Magicboost area"

She tries (Sigil, Area, Summon) next. Obviously she cleans up the old circle before making the new one.
