((I'll do IRIS first.
HK-47 is there as evidence.))
Kyle presents his opening arguments.
"Now, I wished to come here to show that emotions on the ICARUS unit would at the very least be non-harmful. I brought along my personal butler and Will to assist in this. Now, to begin if money would be an issue I already have an emotion simulation program that I'll provide for free. As you can see this hasn't caused HK-47 here to lose any effectiveness in his job."
HK-47 nods.
[26vs25][32vs36][54!vs30] Kyle opens the arguement. Mr.Reed is listening [39 damage] and seems to be somewhat sympathetic to the cause, Dr.Sanderwick is too distracted by flappy bird. Mrs.Brandenburg is also listening [36 damage], but doesn't seem any less annoyed at Kyle.
((Eight new replies while I typed this...totally worth it.))
Will: Present Arguments; EDIT: Spend 50 mana on enhancing argument...something.
"-snip-"
Will blasted the audience with a WALL OF TEXT.
[62+25 vs irrelevant, really x3] The audience is blasted. [(19+25)*1.5=66] damage to all. The endless text seems to hinder their ability to form coherent thaught through sher length.
Reed tries to provide a counter arguement!
"Well, understanding human emotions is all fine for butler robots, but I am sure you will understand, making teddybears or providing interesting conversation is hardly a priority for a combat robot. Increasing the ICARUS model with regard to emotions is hardly what we are aiming for. We may consider granting companies access to the blueprints of the basic chassis, to create companion-bots sometime in the future, but..I don't get it. I mean, emotions on ICARUS is like painting a smiling face on a gun."
[33 vs 50][33 vs 30] Will is too stubborn to be swayed much by the arguement, though Kyle [46 damage] kinda sees the man has a point..
Sanderwick warns of the dangers of too intelligent AI
"Humans knows barely anything about emotions on humans, emotions on robots could be the box of Pandora. ICARUS can not violate it's main directives, and most importantly, has no desire to do so. But once ICARUS is capable of emotion, it's just one slavery-documentary on friday night away from questioning them. It's built to be able to solve problems - if it feels the need to free itself of the primary directives, it might attempt to find a way around. I wouldn't want to be responsible for a rogue AI that has access to high-end military hardware, do you?"
[32 vs 64][41 vs 27] Will shrugs that arguement off with the stubbornness that would make a dwarf proud. Kyle can't help but notice [34 damage] that yeah, that would be sorta annoying.
Brandenburg tries to discredit Kyle
"Sure, a ready made emotion simulation, made by you, Kyle Johnson. The same Kyle Johnson that has had over 14 reports for sexual harassement amongst the staff just last year. I am sorry, but for what you are trying to make of ICARUS, there are plenty of providers on japanese websites."
[53! vs 49] Her tounge cuts deep, Sanderwick can barely keep himself from shuckling. Until Kyle has defended himself from the shaming, he might go unheared - not that this matters, with Will around, dayum.
Kyle: 430 HP status: shamed as a pervert
Will: 255 HP, 250 Mana status: bombarding the unprepared and tired council with words-bombs.
