After they presumably leave, Bort shows up and closes the door.

The girly scream re-reverberates through the castle, complete with the sting from the first time being played.

Ester is obviously too tired to care. Sorry.

"I know. I still feel kinda bad for doing it though."

"Don't feel bad. I love you~. It's not like it matters. Besides, I'm sure your tired and you can't exactly teleport back with your bracelet."

Lyle is somewhere horrifying!

"Yeah... Thanks again though." Ester gives Tobias another kiss and then turns onto her side, away from him. "Good night."

Tobias chuckles. Once Ester was asleep, he got up to go wander around in the shadows. He wanted to let her sleep but he wasn't even tired.
Ashley, being used to Eldritch Abominations befriending her daughter everyday, doesn't really find this horrifying.
"Something wrong, Lyle?"

Mallory was cleaning his arm of the blood from calling his sword earlier when he heard Lyle screaming somewhere else. He sighed as he moved into the room, "Lyle what is it now?" He looks to see what Marie is doing to him.

With Will back home, I'm going to assume that everyone else has left too. With no one in the party in the pocket dimension, the serpant carving on the Menhir slowly fades away, until the entire thing is smooth and featureless.

"You have got to be kidding me."
Will swiftly begins examining the carving as it disappears, figuring out all he can about it before it vanishes. He promptly heads to a nearby piece of paper and takes notes on everything he knows about the menhir and its magical energy/signature that he learned both just now and much earlier.

Angel teleports to Selina and hugs her.

Marie is gone. Lyle is nonetheless surrounded by plastic skulls, skeletons, and fake blood. Wooo?

Tobias chuckles. Once Ester was asleep, he got up to go wander around in the shadows. He wanted to let her sleep but he wasn't even tired.

Ester falls asleep pretty quickly, and is soon snoring softly.

"You have got to be kidding me."
Will swiftly begins examining the carving as it disappears, figuring out all he can about it before it vanishes. He promptly heads to a nearby piece of paper and takes notes on everything he knows about the menhir and its magical energy/signature that he learned both just now and much earlier.

Based on a detailed examination of the Menhir's magical signature, Will deduces two things:

A. It's one half of a teleportation spell, meaning that it needs another stone or spell to actually teleport people around. Unfortuately for Will, the Menhir has no connection to the recieving half, besides a general signal that it's there. And even worse for Will, the signal isn't transmitting right now.

B. It's nothing that Will has ever seen before. Its fundamental structure is more regular and cleaner that Will knows, and it has lots of safe-guards and similar things that other people always forget to include. Including ones against excessive tampering.

Make that three things.

C. Whoever made this thing didn't want people using or travelling through it without their permission.

Bismuth continues the infinite d'aaaaaaw loop with Neferis and the shadow lion cub.
