[ROLL: 82] ICARUS follows the sound unnervingly, slowly catching up as it tries to throw her off. Suddenly she rounds a corner, and come face-to-face with a black spider the size of the large dog. Venom drips from its fangs as it regards her carefully.

Mallory kept himself low after both of their attacks missed and jumped forward in an attempt to tackle the figure to the ground and put him into a grapple.

Kyle hears another scream, different this time, from behind him.

"Identify yourself. You have 20 seconds to comply."

ICARUS has seen stranger things talking, might as well ask.

The spider growls softly, and moves its body up and down.

She blinks, head tilting a little. "Of course. It is my purpose."

"Isn't your mommy afraid you'd get... hurt? There are bad folks wandering around late at night."

Mallory kept himself low after both of their attacks missed and jumped forward in an attempt to tackle the figure to the ground and put him into a grapple.

[38 vs. 37] Hit! The figure is caught completely off guard as Mallory jumps at him, the two going down in a heap with Mallory on top.

Lyle body-slams the figure drunkenly.

[AUTOFAIL] Miss! Lyle drunkenly stumbles, and falls over into a heap on the ground. Partly because Mallory is already grappling with the figure, and partly because Lyle doesn't seem to have any stats.

N'thara slashes at their ankles.

[14 vs. 48] Miss! N'thara tires to slash at the attacker's ankles, but gets a face full of boot for her troubles.

As Kyle walks towards the scream, he is suddenly jumped by two shadowy figures wielding knives, one of them laughing heartily.
