Kelyn's brow furrows, and her mouth opens and closes several times. "That's not what I meant. Elves and humans just don't belong together."

"This knife may not actually be useful, but I still know how to rip out someone's eyes."

That shuts the knight right up. "Ah."

"Tell me, Sir Platz... How well do you know the Beast of Aneirin? The tale, that is."
Tobias walks backwards.

"I'm not familar with that legend, I have to say. I'd suggest that you stay away from its tusks though, damn things." Sir Platz pulls out a battle-axe and glances warily around.

[SOLDIER First]

"That is what I thought."

"Well, I fear that may be what is watching us. I don't imagine many beasts here have golden cat-like eyes. And are huge."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"That is what I thought."

The knight turns away and draws his sword. "Err... Sorry."

"Why not?"

"I don't know. It's happened a couple times before, but... They didn't turn out well."

"Well, I fear that may be what is watching us. I don't imagine many beasts here have golden cat-like eyes. And are huge."

"That'd be it then. Stay sharp and stay close, it'll probably try to pick us off one by one."

Kyle raises an eyebrow to indicate for her to elaborate.

Kelyn shrugs, "It depends on the story. Brangaine and her lover got shot full of arrows by her husband's retinue. Doorena died of a broken heart right before her human lover returned from his quest. Things like that."

Bethany pulls the knife out in front of her and glares at the eyes.

The eyes have disappeared, but Bethany glares anyways.

Tobias summons a lot of weaker shadows.

The knight doesn't respond, and instead takes a couple steps away. Suddenly a black shape leaps out of the forest. Everyone catches a glimpse of golden eyes, before the hapless knight gets gored by the beast's tusks. Before anyone can react, the creature leaps back into the forest. Sir Platz yells, "I told you idiots to stick together!"

Will has come out.
"Wha' I miss?"

Will arrives just in time to see the knight get brutally killed. Lovely.

"I don't think we have to worry about the first two to be honest it seems to mostly be deaths at times that are ironic."

"And? We could still die ironically together somehow." Kelyn asks, her bow up and an arrow notched.
