As the hailstones slowly melt, pieces of pure quartz are revealed. Unsurprisingly, only the ones near the house have quartz in them, the ones that fell elsewhere simply melt away entirely.

And then he goes to investigate the yard.

Kyle is now standing in a rather small magic circle. Nothing happens. Except for increasing his risk of being hit by a car seeing as its in the middle of the road, but there aren't any at the moment as people generally parked their cars on the curb due to the treacherous weather. Unless boredom and dissatisfaction are considered inherently magical, no magical effects occur.
