"No, have you not been listening at all? I have, the entire time, claimed that they are equal. So we sacrifice few, to save the lives of many. We have killed less humans in decades than humans have killed in just a few days. And we are risking the lives of even more of our kind if we allow the location of our sanctuary to be known. A single tourist reporting his findings can become the start of an unstoppable wave. People will no longer accidentaly stumble upon us, they will seek us out, out of sheer curiosity.

And then what? We welcome them, and just wait until one day, because of sheer ignorance for our lives, someone who had a bit of a drink decides it would be fun to kick our houses down? Until a child is bored with the sigh seeing and begins pulling our tails?

Or do we drive them away? Do we raise our blades oppenly against them, and await their retaliation, that would spell our end?

No, people go missing, it was a climbing accident and nobody looks at it twice and we remain hidden. This is the way that minimizes casualties. Everything else is an invitation to disaster, because no human thinks twice about "they're small so it's alright".
