"What I mean, for those of the literal minded attitude, is what are they going on about? What've you been boasting about?"

"B-boasting? I merely explained my previous successes to those who believe that my kind can't hold a towel to their overwhelming strength and size."

Nancy looks closer at her.
"Even a fool can see that striking down fourty is a hard task."

Yuri decides to visit the little person. On the other hand, she doesn't fit in her house and it'd be umcomfortable to talk down to her.

(94+30) she makes a size modification circle. Yaaay~

"The n-number doesn't matter. The area has become a national park, and is attracting tourist day by day. Given the time, it may very well come 400 soon. That I haven't killed 40 yet doesn't mean I am unable to. Just ask around town how many criminals today had to give up chase because because their legs had a sudden case of paralysis. That might as well have been their spine.

The area is vast with treacherous mountains. Pricking someone in the hand and having them fall to their death is easy, and they are none the wiser. It's dangerous terrain afterall."

"Oh? But are the lives of humans, with families, worth so much less than yours?"

"No, have you not been listening at all? I have, the entire time, claimed that they are equal. So we sacrifice few, to save the lives of many. We have killed less humans in decades than humans have killed in just a few days. And we are risking the lives of even more of our kind if we allow the location of our sanctuary to be known. A single tourist reporting his findings can become the start of an unstoppable wave. People will no longer accidentaly stumble upon us, they will seek us out, out of sheer curiosity.

And then what? We welcome them, and just wait until one day, because of sheer ignorance for our lives, someone who had a bit of a drink decides it would be fun to kick our houses down? Until a child is bored with the sigh seeing and begins pulling our tails?

Or do we drive them away? Do we raise our blades oppenly against them, and await their retaliation, that would spell our end?

No, people go missing, it was a climbing accident and nobody looks at it twice and we remain hidden. This is the way that minimizes casualties. Everything else is an invitation to disaster, because no human thinks twice about "they're small so it's alright".

"I see your point, Fingerling."
Nancy twirls his hat, deep in thought.
"Given the presence of the gods, haven't you thought of petitioning the Celestial Bureaucracy for true invisibility to humans? Of course, I understand your plight. But, still, am I to be correct that you've been, ah, spinning tall tales to increase your status in the eyes of 'giants'?"

"Since I arrived, I have suffered through numerous humiliations, and without an actuall opportunity to show them the possible consequences of ridiculing me like that, I had to bring across that a needle is a dreadful tool. What was I supposed to do, put their eyes out? Adding a 0 here and there should be an effective enough warning, and hurts no one, unlike a demonstration."

"I recall you have suffered TWO humiliations. One from Kyle, who, let's face facts, is a damn fool, thinking too slowly. The other from Will, who's on the opposite end of being a fool; acting too...hastily.

I must also question the...well, idea...of telling the same exact group who stopped an army , for the reason that they would kill millions, that you killed fourty people. In the same house as little children. Surely you could have spun a better tale, like many tales of little ones playing tricks on humans? Spinning such a gruesome tale cannot surely be a wise decision."
