Conny nods frantically, then her eyes roll up into her skull as she collapses and falls asleep instantly...

High above the city, Demons Run hovers, head tilted to the heavens, wings spread wide, unbeating, her body simply hovering in air. Her mouth opens, and she speaks, a name. Quiet, unheard by any but her, naught but the wind hearing as she lets tears fall amidst the rain, unnoticed in the downpour.

This wasn't the first time she'd done something like this since the end of the Layar War and the ensuing return of her host to the land of her birth, away from the others. Some nights, she'd take flight out of her window, alighting into the upper atmosphere and crying down at the world.

"How pathetic of me... The Creator herself, up here, crying alone, with noone to hear her."

She shakes her head, becoming silent.

Kyle stops hugging Ashley and after a moment of thought he gives her a kiss before picking up Conny and taking her to her room and tucking her in bed. Kyle stops as he notices the sudden weather change.
"That's sudden. Maybe a rain god who doesn't know it is around. That would be such a sad and funny occurrence."

Ashley freezes at the kiss, not really expecting it at all.

Selina sends a very soft calll towards Demons Run, something about a gift?

"He hates me, Maria hates me, Selina hates me. You ALL have that little bit of hate in you that sees me as a monster. So lets be that monster!!!" She suddenly sends a blast of mental energy at Cyrielle, attempting to knock her out. (DC 40)

"Thanks again Ash... are you okay? You seem a bit stunned."

"Er, yeah... just worried about Conny, that's all."

"Really, because you didn't seem all that worried before and you were blushing when I hugged you. You sure you don't have a crush on me?"
