Then Kyle grabs her hand and leads her on a magic shopping adventure through several clothing store which include a hot topic (Kyle likes the wallets), A clothing store specializing in mens wear, a clothing store that's specializing in women's clothes, a store selling stuff that would look good for steampunk related outfits, and finally an underwear store. (Which they went into one at a time to avoid any awkward events.)

They finally return to Maria's house with Kyle wearing his trinkets and steampunk attire and Tabella wearing what she was before. The both have a huge mound of clothes each. And that's why you shouldn't give Kyle huge amounts of money.

Eventually, Richard comes and picks up Qi through the TV, before leading him to the aformentioned coastal house with a rowboat.

Kyle eventually finds a room and sets down his clothes in it before assisting Tabella with putting her clothes away.

Blah blah, they go to his garage so Tabella can teach him how the Layar phone works. And maybe he also asks about the Layar's culture and if the have any interesting courtship rituals. This may be a cue for Elf to info dump. Or he could ask GWG to make it up.

Next attempt, she formats the color of the initially black text [rgb(0,0,0)] so that the decimal value of the ascii for every character in the love letter is encoded. For example, if a tilde were to be used, it would be encoded as rgb(1,2,6), hence the text would still all be close to black but still encode the letter.
