<According to @Twi, it must roll for defenses. However, this game was never designed to do that, hence, like our attacks, no matter how intense the resistance is, the decay will remain the same. Even if it has a DC of 1, it still has to make the roll and still decays just as much as one of our opening attacks. Setting it on fire will force it to take a roll every turn without decaying your precious multiplier.>

The howitzer blew Nuriel across the pool area, knocking her into Angel's parents. Angel's mother fainted when she got a good look at Nuriel; her father looked a bit queasy. Nuriel's torso had a large, messy hole in it, leaking a liquid like a mixture of dark oil and scarlet blood, with some vaguely organ-like blogs hanging partly out of the hole or scattered in pieces across the area.

"...Ow. That fucking hurt. You motherfucking machine."

It took Nuriel a moment to put herself back together, shapeshifting into something without a hole in it. She was a good bit shorter and positively emaciated, but she looked unwounded.

"You are going to pay for that. Hey, Angel, how much do you know about machines?"
<Um...>
<They overheat, right? Can you tell me where to overheat 'em?>
Nuriel leaps at the massive machine and begins to strike the exposed machinery of the left side.

[94+(20*5.66)=113]
[59+[30*7]=269]
Angel directs Nuriel's steel-melting fire to parts of the machine which were particularly vulnerable to heat, areas with small parts which would deform or melt easily, computerized components which would overheat and cause failures, stuff like that.

(Bonuses: Nuriel 5.53?, Angel 4.31))

((P.S. The 1% is of the total roll, including the bonus, right?))

And then Nuriel attacks!There seems to be some affect...

The enraged machine promptly attempts to punch Nuriel. Hard.

[DC 169 Dex, damage is DC 277 End)

...and then stone golem.
Because that is kind of BS, the stone golem gets a point-blank artillery shell before it can do any attacks. [Damage= 420 END]
