Meme can't get the taste out of her mouth and staggers forward a moment before throwing up, a lot of it being cake. She then fell backwards on her back, a little barf still on her face.

Cyrielle continues resting upon the dichotomy of sleep and lucidity, though in her case, it was also a purgatory between life and death with her organs doing the bare minimum required for sustaining bodily functions and health alike, she didn't really need to sleep or rest like this at all now, yet she still did it out of habit... and perhaps also, to remind herself that she was, regardless of circumstances, still a person and that thus, @Empiricist still had to make her seem more realistic and detailed by providing her with her own habits, minor characteristics and idiosyncrasies. She continues waiting for @Elf's reply to her question patiently.

Things were going reasonably well, as far as could be figured. Nothing too bad, happy times at the wedding, people enjoying themselves.

And then, of course, because Murphey is nothing if not punctual, Marie feels a strange... tightness, in her abdomen, followed by a sharp, cutting pain... followed by a few dozen chains whipping out of her stomach , back, and sides, barbed tips burying themselves in the walls, floor, and ceiling with a sound like an especially angry woodchipper.

Alice immediately drags Meme into cover, just in case a few more barbed chains erupt.
