Also, Bartimaeus would know of the World Slayers ability to induce fear into lesser entities (Lesser being being subjective to the wielder. In Ktakubo's case, It means non-sentient entities.)

Kate can't hear since as a side effect of being ignored she didn't get a bracelet.

If Kate accepts, then Bartimaeus proceeds to teleport her.

Kate pulls out a IRIS high-powered magical analyser (patent pending) and scans the two.

"I said use. Birdbrain. Not have." And then Instant stare at kate. Really close.

Ktakubo seems clean magically wise. Oh, she has mind magic.

Sword appears to be clean magically as well.

 "Pfft. Go ahead and leave if you want, Kate." Bartimaeus says before shapeshifting into an exact copy of her, sword and everything.

Ktakubo keeps staring at Kate akwardly close and emotionless.
