Alice stopped once she was sure that neither her nor Rose would be getting hit by Kyle's car. She was shaking slightly, she would probably have been a lot worse though if it wasn't for Rose being alive and near her.

Alice turned back towards the combat, she pointed her machete at Luthar. After a moments concentration a bolt of lightning was sent hurtling towards him

Rose stops next to Alice, turning around and shakily pointing her shotgun at Luthar before dropping it in panic. Luckily the safety was on, and it clatters down onto the ground harmlessly.
