Alice turns around and gently picks it up with both arms, carrying it with her. She may have reacted more, but @Empiricist defers that until it acts in a manner more specifically defined than merely "cute" or "adorable" as Alice's perceptions of such are not necessarily human; more human than her creator, but still somewhat inhuman nonetheless.

A slight smile appeared on Mallory's face as he patted Kyle's shoulder in appreciation, "Thanks." He moved back to Lyle then, "Well, everything should be set. Do you... uh... want to help move some of my stuff?"

Alice saunters around the castle, a slight spring in her step, directed to offset the weight of her scythe, which, due to her arms being occupied with carrying the feline, was trapped to her back by the tendril-like fabric of her dress. She capriciously picks paths ostensibly randomly whilst attempting to locate the castle's library, assuming it even possesses one.

"Alright. So uh, where are the teleporter thingys? And who knows how to make them work?"

Alice sets down the cub next to her amd takes out a novel entitled "The Canary Murder Case" from a bookshelf. She Walks over to a chair and sits down before beginnings to read.
