ICARUS's microphones are much more sensitive than Kyle's ears, but after a while he hears the barking as well.

ICARUS's microphones start to pick up words now, though not in a language it'd recognize.

"Canines seem to be accompanied by humanoids, or are capable of speech. Suggested method of dealing with the threat remains the same. Awaiting approval to engage."

Kyle pulls another stick causing a flashlight to appear. He continues on.

Will identifies the speech as a Germanic language, though it's nothing like he's heard before.

Everyone keeps on moving forward, until they stumble upon a group in the middle of the pathway. Kelyn whispers something under her breathe and notches an arrow, realizing before everyone else that the people in the group are not entirely human, having the heads of dogs. The dog-men turn to stare at the party, bits of bloody fleshing hanging from their mouths.

The dog-men, twenty in total, all have axes on their belts, and shields hanging on their backs. Five of them have chainmail armour, while the rest seem to make do with leather jerkins. Six of them also seem to have shortbows, which they slowly take off their backs and string. The rest of the dog-men simply stare at the party, their nostrils flaring. None of them say anything, and simply stare warily.
