Hainuwele has returned from China.


Alongside her come 200 fingerlings and their belongings, as well as food and livestock, to found the fingerling city-state of Yardistan. And what an industrious bunch they are. Half of them begin building field for various crops and miniature lifestock, using up most of the space in the yard, while the other half begins building cottages alongside the farms, as well as dozens of small houses in the tree in the yard. Meanwhile they will mostly sleep within the keep, and who knows how far they will be extending the catacombs below it.


Hainuwele watches over the whole thing with a satisfied smile, a gem signifying royalty now sitting in her sake-cup-helmet.

I foresee this ending badly if they are all like her

Will may notice that the ballistae of the keep are all aimed at him. Small they may be, but they are still about as dangerous as a crossbow. The guards manning them seem incredibly nervous, almost at a panic. He may also notice that the civilians have begun evacuating into the catacombs. Children are screaming.

You did tell your people to Ignore him Hai, AND you most certainly did not ask the owner of this land first, how would you feel and act if someone did this to you?

You could tell them that I am protecting them instead, and this place is frequently attacked, by people our size, it would be safer to be based elsewhere to be honest, and getting jobs IS a good idea, not just for money, but also for integrating into society. I mean everyone living here can fight, and I include you there Hai, but mst of these people do not appear that capable

They had the opportunity to give 200 souls freedom and peace in their holy land, and all they had to to for it was tolerate it, but nope. That empty bit of grass is used for nothing other than bitching about what a pain it is to mow. But nope, it's *theirs* so they can't possibly share it with an entire community, that could have lived and prospered there for generations to come. That yard is holy ground, they have no idea how much it means to my people, but nooooope, can't have that, because *but it's miiiine*. One would think humans who have colonized every bit of land they can possibly live in wouldn't be quite so anal about a yard.

But enough ranting. Some of them are nice. I'd certainly miss Sen, Selina, Meme and Esther. Maybe even Neferis..but it's hard to judge people who hide themselves too much to be judged. And I am sure some of them miss you too."
