Shit that will happen to USEC's characters during the timeskip:Ester finishes high school and heads to university for a degree in graphic design, as it's a natural fit with her interests and talents. She joins the local magic society in her university, makes lots of good friends, and gets great marks for obvious reasons. She gets her powers registered obviously, so that she can use them for her photography. Her fangirl tendencies have faded away a bit, but she's still as giggly as ever. She tries to keep in touch with everyone she can using the bracelet system, especially Tobias now that she's living in the university dorms. Needless to say, her roommate has gotten to know him pretty well.
A couple of years in the timeskip, Guinevere and Eleanor, the enchantresses from the Arthurian dimension, arrive at the castle/whatever to bring Lunette back home. She cries a lot and promises to write as much as she can. No one receives any letters from her after she returns home.
Two years into the timeskip, Rose suddenly dies for no readily apparent reason and her body turns into black goop like usual. Unlike usual, she doesn't return from the dead, and nobody ever sees her again. Spartak Sokolov and his cronies completely disappear off the face of the planet, but several other terrorist groups, inspired by his actions, plague Russia throughout the entire timeskip. No other digsites with symbols that match hers are ever found, and they'll probably remain a mystery forever.
Neferis is still Neferis.
She hasn't even been introduced yet, geez. She's like, 12 right now so she's still going through grade school and stuff. Be patient.
Sanure, you should probably change what happens to Yomiko. Just a heads up. Also, because GWG made me realize how silly my tidbit number 3 was, here's my new one:
3. With access to teleportation magic, space flight becomes much more cheaper and practical, which has sparked a second space race. No longer constrained by orbital dynamics and rocketry, mankind has visited most of the (relatively) habitable planets and moons in the solar system, spurred on by feelings of national pride and the desire to be the first to do something. More practically, plans for Lunar and Martian colonies are in the works, and the number of probes in space has increased exponentially. Additionally many asteroids in the solar system are being prospected for metals and minerals, and several are being prepped for teleportation back to Earth to be mined. Needless to say the various governments of the world are scrambling to try and keep up with all of the legal cases and legislature that this second space race is creating.
Looks
passable good?
