What makes it funny is that there is precedent for true emotions existing in constructs.

Alexander is a construct, Cyrielle's programs, the fact that the Persona canon exists so robots with Personas exist, possibly USEC's old character, Osiris....

It's just about as likely ICARUS HAS developed emotion by herself.
