Not demons in specific, but...no one finds it unusual that Angel was visiting her parents for days, and took of her bracelet and left it abandoned in the hospital long enough for it to end up in the lost and found? And people still didn't really care once you discovered Will was kidnapped? Etc, etc?
And it's not just apathy, it's lack of initiative and lack of common sense. "Nah, I'll just assume this backed-into-a-corner demon won't try to pull anything funny. No need to keep an eye on him. No matter how long it takes him to get Will."

The "vanishes and doesn't come back" should have been a hint that something was up.
And you know what? He wasn't on his last step. He had a few left. He had time to hack the ritual together and bug out.

He presumably found his own place. Or a job. Both things he should get.

Will's been sticking around and no one's been complaining.
He's still a teenager, which rather impedes his options. and why should he get a job? It's been mentioned a few times that he's managed to get a small fortune from the stock market.


P.S. It's hardly fair of Cado to complain about me not detailing Nuriel's reaction when half of Meme's actions are described with only "cute" or "Adorable".

You can, in fact, own property as a teenager. It's just rare, and usually given to him/her by an older relative/family friend.
