...unlike Will, who will recognize the deception pretty much immediately.
Aside from some potential comedy, this shouldn't affect much.
...why?
He would be aware of the effect. Mind control works on him, if it's strong enough that it overrides his ability to do otherwise, but if it doesn't he can fight it pretty accurately. When it's something as minor as this...it's pretty easy. And that's not getting into how he can sense magical energies.
Not to mention that his power in large part is picking up on the vital little details...and things like "has tentacles" and "is not actually saying anything" aren't exactly "little".
As to why it doesn't affect much, well...he's fully aware that he'll look crazy if he accuses Robert of being an octobot (?) so he's not saying anything.
of course, Will could be the sushi chef, who keeps shouting that he is clearly an alien probe here for your anuses, and everybody will just stare at Will like he is crazy and should leave the poor clerk alone
...Or um...
I could go with that?
I actualy caught that after I posted it. I just happen to think either gold dragons or the ferrous drgons would be... well nice obviously isn't the right term.
Well...I would comment but I have no idea what you're saying. Could you elaborate?
From what I understand, think perceptiveness combined with the ability to readily make logical connections that would not be obvious to other people without thought.
And Robert's ability involves making them oblivious to his identity, and preventing them from thinking about it.
Also, Akroma and GWG have a habit of fighting, don't mind them
She's not Gamerlord. I appreciate that.
Not to mention that if everyone can just pull out of being affected then Robert's ability is hardly an ability at all...
Two characters, out of dozens. That's not even in double-digit percentiles.
And one of them has no intention of talking about it any time soon, so...
Also, Akroma and GWG have a habit of fighting, don't mind them
I know I shouldn't....but AkromaxGWG OTP.
I'll see myself out now.
I'm not going to let you provoke me.
Also, @Poltifar, pretty much the only other character who can who shows up with any regularity is Loki. The Norse god. Yes, he's a character.
He's one of Elf's more-frequently-played characters, having last showed up less than a thousand pages ago!
Okay, sorry Elf. That was uncalled for.
He could just glue some plastic wings on him and sprinkle some gold glitter on him and attend the council of dragons no problem
There would be some issues, since he doesn't share their low-grade hivemind. With a bit of wit or silence, though, that shouldn't be too hard to deal with.
And he should probably go for silver glitter if he tries that.
Question:
Would Grandiose (entity that doesn't belong in existence) and Shade (ghost) be immune to Roberts ability? I already know that Sen, Yomiko, and Samson aren't.
Same with all Void-based characters (Ashley, Nodoka, Void, etc), and arguably all AU characters (Izzy, Stella, Will, Emp's Alice, Meme, maybe Mimi) and characters drawn into existence by Selina (Conny, Momo)
And it doesn't really make sense. Do other magical abilities not work on people who don't belong in existence?
And while the news is on, they mention a series of bloody murders in Mexico. Given the timing, some suspect it has something to do with the dragons.
((Plot twist, it doesn't and the yellow dragons are innocent of everything.))
* Twi glances at the current state of mexico.
This is notable how?
There's more murders, more coordinated, and--wait, Mexico's really that bad?
((I think I'll slow down in posting for now. Sorry Twi and anyone else if I am slow to reply. Duno how active I'll be in this game, but hopefully a quick scene once per day at the very least.))
That's more than some people, like wolfchild and Elf.
...Sorry, Elf, that was also uncalled for.
(('Lyle says he luvs u 5evr and when you get back he's going to propose.'))
5evr? That sounds violent.
Also GWG claimed Will no-selled it but he never posted since then and that makes no sense so we ignored it.
Some of us have work and stuff.
And I highly disagree with the claim it made no sense, as noted above.
