Well, I usually keep the best ones for myself but I can give you some advice. My characters are often inspired by the many books I read or from other sources. HILDA is actually inspired from a 4chan CYOA thread. If you ever read the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Johnathan Stroud, there's a whole bunch of inspiration right there (it's an awesome book). Once you get a small idea, find a badass name that fits it and build upon that idea. If I come up with any good characters I'll tell you.

Have you read any of his other books? Heroes of the Valley?

Even a lot of my forum games are inspired from different things. The Never Ending dungeon was inspired by a Facepunch thread and Bizarre Slime is from The same CYOA thread HILDA was from, as well as hundreds of others by Richter Bromont.
